AUGMENTED SECURITY AUTHENTICATION ENGINE

The Augmented Security Solutions use the Strong Authentication Engine developed on the basis of registered patents owned.

Augmented Security Authentication Engine consists of an authentication server itself and an application on any simple smartphone (Android or IOS).

The Authentication Engine allows two modes of operation: "connected" mode when the "data" or WIFI network is available and the "disconnected" mode when no "data" or WIFI network is available.

Whatever the mode, after registration to the service, the authentication engine does not send sms to smartphones. So there is no associated cost.

GenMadmin allows the administration of all Augmented Security Solutions (user management, statistics...).

OPERATION OF THE AUTHENTICATION ENGINE IN CONNECTED MODE

The basic principle of a strong authentication/validation Augmented Security in "connected" mode is very simple:

01

The authentication server receives authentication/validation requests from the e-banking site or e-commerce or electronic money server.

02

It wakes up the user's smartphone. The smartphone application displays the message transmitted in the request and asks the user to validate or refuse.

03

If the user agrees, he enters his personal code (which only him knows) on the smartphone application.

04

The authentication server then replies to the website (or payment server) that the request is validated or refused.

AUTHENTICATION ENGINE IN CONNECTED MODE

OPERATION OF THE AUTHENTICATION ENGINE IN DISCONNECTED MODE

The basic principle of a strong authentication/validation Augmented Security in disconnected mode is based, on the one hand, on a QR code generated by the authentication server and read by the smartphone application and, on the other hand, on an OTP for One Time Pasword, generated by the smartphone application.

01

The client website requests authentication/validation from the Augmented Security authentication server.

02

The authentication server generates an encrypted QR code including the message to be validated by the user.

03

The smartphone application reads this QR code and displays the message to be validated.

04

If the user agrees, he enters his personal code.

05

The smartphone application then displays a One Time Password.

06

The smartphone application then displays a One Time Password.

07

The authentication server then replies to the Web site (or payment server) that the request is validated or refused.

AUTHENTICATION ENGINE IN CONNECTED MODE
MAIN FEATURES OF THE AUTHENTICATION ENGINE

Main features of the Authentication Engine:

A STRONG AUTHENTICATION (2 FACTORS) BASED ON

- The hardware signature of the smartphone (independent of the SIM card).
- A personal code chosen by the user when registering for the service.

A VERY SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE USE

- Authentication is done simply by entering this personal code on his smartphone (similar to entering a "pin code").

A VERY HIGH LEVEL OF SECURITY

- Resistant to "Man in the Middle" attacks.
- Phishing resistant.
- No data stored by the smartphone application.
- No personal data other than the user'stelephone number is handled or stored.

A SIMPLE AND SECURE DISCONNECTED MODE WHEN DATA AND WIFI NETWORKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE

EASY INTEGRATION INTO APPLICATIONS

- JAVA and PHP SDKs are provided for integration into client websites (authentication server Web Services calls).
- Augmented Security provides customized smartphone applications with the client's logo and wallpaper.
- A mobile SDK is provided for full integration into the Customer's mobile applications.

GENMADMIN, ADMINISTRATION SOFTWARE COMMON TO ALL SOLUTIONS

GenMadmin allows the administration of all Augmented Security solutions. - User management (list with filtering, creation, deletion, blocking, unblocking).
    - Authentication history with filtering.
    - Usage statistics (number of users, authentications...).
    - System information (licenses, version...).
    - Administrator management.

Of course, access to GenMadmin is via a strong authentication Augmented Security.
